SPC-101C Introduction
SPC-101C is created and assembled for software engineers to use.
The SPC-101C is a robot designed for software engineers.
Other hobby robots will usually require you to assemble the robot after you have purchased it. The SPC-101C, however, is a preassembled internet robot installed with an OS and wireless LAN. In other words, it is a “Walking PC.” The robot can easily be connected to a wireless network to aid in designing and developing new software.

Internet Connection with NetBSD Base OS
| The new version of the Speecys OS has a UNIX system NetBSD as a base OS equipped with a motion playback engine. Supporting TCP/IP, UDP/IP communication protocol and using FTP or Telnet to transfer motion and audio data, this customized OS allows users of the network the flexibility found in the culmination fo these technologies. Another advantage of the NetBSD is its excellent software development capabilities. With abundant resources, this tool allows for efficient application development. The motion playback engine receives wireless LAN signals from the BotRoller, allowing immediate motion playback. Music and LED light synchronization also becomes possible in this way. |

Video Camera Function Development
The SPC-101C has a color video camera attached to its head (NTSC output, attached receiver). After capturing the video images, the PC can then be used for other features such as image recognition, increasing the number of daily applications for the robot. It may be considered as a walking webcam.
Also, the source code for the voice recognition engine, video input, and face recognition software are available on our website’s home page. Thus, a user with a decent amount of software development experience could create applications to link the robot and the PC as well.
